Next Location at main branch of Library in Little Rock

Social gatherings are the 1st Tuesday each month at 7PM at Vino's. The discussion group meetings are one Sunday each month at 1:30PM at the main branch of Little Rock Library check the calendar for the exact date. The Supper Club is every Monday at 8:30 PM at Carino's in West Little Rock.(cost is approx $6 each) Movie Night is the last Saturday of every month @ 7:30PM. Adopt a Highway clean up is each quarter check the calendar for details. If you are into lively discussions, interesting people, provocative ideas, challenging conversation; if you like people who make you think and let you talk, if you’d like to get to know your fellow freethinker/atheists better, what they're really like with no pretensions, no censorship, no affectations, this is the place for you.

The Reason Project

The Reason Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge and secular values in society. Drawing on the talents of the most prominent and creative thinkers across a wide range of disciplines, The Reason Project seeks to encourage critical thinking and wise public policy through a variety of interrelated projects. The foundation will convene conferences, produce films, sponsor scientific studies and opinion polls, publish original research, award grants to other charitable organizations, and offer material support to religious dissidents and public intellectuals — all with the purpose of eroding the influence of dogmatism, superstition, and bigotry in our world.

Winter Solstice Display

WE DID NOT give up. In 2008 our group voted to create a Winter Solstice Holiday Display to counter the nativity scene on the state capital ground. We decided on a four sided display, with each side having a different educational theme. The Box of Knowledge. We then contacted the Secretary of State’s Office (SOSO), requesting that we be provided space for our exhibit in the area designated for such exhibits, as the annual nativity scene. Welcome to the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers which includes the informal groups Central Arkansas Freethinkers Group! aka Freethinkers of Central Arkansas!, Secular Student Alliance, Conway Freethinkers, Arkansas Atheists, Atheist Community of Jonesboro and Religion Obscures the Truth. We support the Arkansas RR group and Central Arkansas Pastafarians.

Our gatherings are a great place to exchange information, ideas and life experiences. We know being an Freethinker in the Bible Belt is a lonely life and we'd like to make life a little less lonely for all of us.

We are a peaceful group of freethinking individuals that enjoy getting together for a god-free, good time! Most of our members are recovering Christians. Membership is open to anyone who questions belief in any personal god and is a non-theist.

We meet the 1st Tuesday of each month at Vinos Pub in Little Rock from 7pm-? for social time. If you are into lively discussions, interesting people, provocative ideas, challenging conversation; if you like people who make you think and let you talk, if you’d like to get to know your fellow atheists better, what they're really like with no pretensions, no censorship, no affectations, this is the place for you. And we meet the 3rd or 4th Sunday of every month( check the calendar for the exact date.) from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the main branch of the Little Rock Library for a thought provoking discussion group. All Atheist friendly people are invited but no proselytizing allowed
